The Feniks
Formally a freighter, nowadays a sailing hotel vessel.| Originally The Feniks was built in 1928 as a freighter on the Dutch, Belgium and French waters. She is a very strong vessel with many years of meritorious service and is known because of her beautiful line and speed. |

In 1992 The Feniks was reconstructed to a hotel passenger ship and put in service for several sailing holidays. Since then The Feniks has undergone several refits to keep the ship up to date with all modern facilities.
Since 2004 Winfred and Els have been the proud owners of The Feniks. They invest continuously to improve the ship and to make your stay on board even more comfortable.
On board you will find a comfortable and well lit saloon, where you can relax on the sofa or have a good meal. We have an extended library on board, a varied collection of cds and dvds, a television and many magazines to entertain you. Of course we have several family/party games a board and not to forget lots of information and maps of the route, the sailing area and the places we are visiting. During the cruises in the Netherlands an internet connection is available.

The cabins are clean and well cared for. All cabins have an individual bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. We have 3 cabins with beds on the floor and 6 cabins with beds above eachother. All beds have 20 cm thick hotelmatrasses. The cabins are equipped with central heating, 220 volt sockets and of course all essentials for a good sleep. There is a washer and dryer available and as well as a hair dryer, shoe polish, sewing-things, shampoo, soap and everything else you need for a comfortable stay a board of the Feniks. Outside on the deck you will find various seats to take in the best views over the great landscapes. There is a sundeck to relax on or you can sit under the awning which give you shelter from the sun or light rain. If the weather allows, we serve the meals outside on the deck. |

For 17 years we have spent our lives together on the water. Enjoying the space, the freedom, the many beautiful places and the moments that we experienced whilst living on board the ship. We would like to share these feelings with you because after one day on the water, you will feel relaxed and your worries are far away.

Together with our ship's dog Layla and our parrot Iggy we hope to give you an unforgettable time on board The Feniks. Our pets are bringing a lot of joy, but Layla is not allowed to enter the saloon because of the hygiene. The noble Iggy loves to be around the guests in the saloon, but we respect your wishes if you don't appreciate this. |
