The weather:

In Holland the temperatures are between 55. 4 and 66.2F. in the spring, it can be cold then, but also nice and warm. There are rainy days and days like summer. In summer it is between 68 and 89.6F., it is mostly dry, but there is always the possibility of a rainy day. In the Fall temperatures are between 77.0 and 64,4F. There is an Indian Summer in September and it can also still be very nice in October. The more southern you go in Europe, the warmer it gets. That is why weather is about the same in Belgium, but most of the time a few degrees warmer. In France the summer last longer, between May and October it can be very nice, between 68 and 86F.

The roads:

You will cycle mainly on paved roads. Holland has bike paths everywhere, so does Belgium in most areas. In France most tracks are paved, but sometimes you will bike on the same road as the cars do. Holland is flat, with a few small hills, In Belgium there are more hills, but still easy to take. In France it gets hillier, and you might choose to walk some small distances with your bike if your condition is not good enough.

What to pack:

Despite your personal things:

most cyclists bicycle in bike cloths and wear a bike helmet. This is all up to you, though on the hillier tracks a helmet is safer. We have a few extra helmets on the boat, incase you forgot to bring it. It is wise to bring your raingear, there is always the possibility of rain, and also your bathingsuit, incase we find a nice place to swim. Also a nice sweater for cold evenings is comfortable.

Electricity on the boat and on the shore is 220V., so you might need an adapter. We have a hairdryer you can use. In Holland we have access to internet on the boat, but you have to bring your own laptop if you want to use it. Our tour guide knows internet-cafe's in almost every town we dock if you want to check your email.

We have a first aid box on the boat, incase you get injured, as well as ice-packs to cool your joints. Our cycle guide has a smaller first aid kit incase something happens on the road.

Our bikes:

We have well maintained 21 speed bycicles on our boat, you get a bike that fits your size. Our bikes have handbrakes. You also get a pannier, a water bottle and a lock for your bike. Our guide carries the neccesary bike equipent during the tour and takes care of the bicycles. We give you a small reparationset if you prefer to cycle on your own.You can bring your own pedals or sadel. We will also visit some bike shops when there is something you need. If you would like to cycle on a different bicycle like a tandem or one with footbrakes we can hire it for you, but it might cost some extra.
