Cycling on quiet roads and through a rolling landscape, average distance 30 miles a day. The route follows field paths and asphalted side roads. There are some hilly stretches which you can also walk.

 Train directly from Charité sur Loire to Paris and v.v. in about 2 hours.

 In Vaux – Les – Comtes you will visit the royal gardens of the French kings, laid out by their royal architects in perfect symmetry. We will cruise the woods of Fontainebleau heading for the artists village Barbizon. We follow the Seine river up to Moret- Sur – Loing, a cosy village on the banks of the Loing.

From Moret-Sur-Loing we will follow the canals du Centre to Chatillion – Coligny, a picturesque town with a medieval fortress. After this beautiful town we will start sailing on the Loire river.

 You will cycle through vineyards like the Pouilly Fumé and  enjoy the atmosphere of old roman villages as Charité Sur Loire. We will visit several castles like in Bussiere , Aprémont and Brisson, ride along lakes and through forest landscapes, following the rivers of France.

This area is famous for its easy pace of life, a mild climate and its friendliness. It has a rich royal history and is wellknown for its wine and cheeses. By bike and boat you will explore historic towns, imposing castles and quaint villages and you ‘ll enjoy excellent food and wines both aboard ship and in hospitable towns along the way.
